John Burkhart

Director of Project Controls

John Burkhart is the Director of Project Controls at PACK Power. He brings more than 12 years of experience in project controls, construction management, and project execution across renewable energy, utility infrastructure, and industrial construction. His expertise includes cost management, forecasting, scheduling, performance reporting, and developing processes that improve project visibility and accountability. 

Prior to joining PACK Power, John served as Director of Project Controls at Gridworks, Inc., where he established the company’s project controls function and developed a team focused on improving project planning, cost management, scheduling, and performance reporting. Previously, he was a Project Controls Manager at Wanzek Construction, where he implemented project management systems, standardized processes, and led training initiatives to strengthen cost and schedule management. 

John’s experience spans project planning, financial forecasting, risk management, and operational process improvement. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating complex project data into actionable insights, strengthening accountability, and driving continuous improvement across project teams. 

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.
