Position Scope
Responsible for the installations, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage electrical termination systems. Ensure the proper connection of medium voltage cables to various electrical equipment and systems.
Location & Travel: This is an onsite position in Spring Grove, VA or Santa Monica, TX. In addition to your base salary, you’ll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with MV switchgear, transformers, junction boxes, and related equipment to complete terminations and system integration
- Test, troubleshoot, and commission MV electrical systems, ensuring all components function properly and safely
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
- Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (Drills, Crimpers, Cutters, etc.)
- Lift, position, and fasten objects
- Prepare, handle, and supply of materials and tools be used by electrical trades
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
- Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Pull DC and MV wire
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MV Terminator
- Or equivalent combination of training and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward safety principles.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field conditions as required.
- Knowledge and experience with medium voltage collection systems preferred
- Must possess strong communication skills.
